These particular types of ammonites are often hard to find yet highly sought after. Due to the high levels of iron & sulphur in the local area these ammonites have become pyritized.
Specimens of this nature are uncommon, as only few beds allow and yield this type of fossilisation to occur and take effect, creating these truly wondrous and rare fossils.
